BlueBack Health Announces 3rd Annual Connecticut Chamber Wellness Challenge

Glastonbury, Connecticut: Chambers of Commerce and their members all over the State will be lacing up their sneakers for some friendly competition- all in the name of good health and giving back!

Emerging from the year that turned business, priorities, and plans upside down, one must acknowledge the massive impact on mental and physical health across all sectors of the population. BlueBack Health identified this critical need as an opportunity to provide a wellness program encouraging healthy habits, movement, consistency, and connection with our communities.

Glastonbury-based health risk expert, BlueBack Health is excited to host the 3rd Annual Chamber Wellness Challenge. This three-month Wellness Challenge will kick off next Spring on April 1, 2022. The Challenge gives participating chambers a platform to re-energize and engage with their membership and communities in a safe, impactful way. This year’s Challenge was a huge success with the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce coming in first, Greater Waterbury in second and the Newington Chamber in 3rd.  Collectively, all participating Chambers and the corporate teams walked over 162 million steps (that’s almost 77,000 miles or three trips around the earth).

Participating chambers and their members are invited to walk their way to improved health, as they enjoy unlimited access to educational and wellness programming through the Chamber Wellness Challenge health portal.  Additionally, BlueBack Health has committed to making charitable donations at the end of the Challenge, to local Not for Profits selected by the top three winning chambers.

“We wanted to create something that instilled a healthy dose of friendly competition among the chambers, while simultaneously supporting and impacting the health and wellbeing of our communities,” said Eric Thompson, Principal at BlueBack Health. “An added incentive was the opportunity for each Chamber to select a Not for Profit of their choice, to potentially receive a cash donation at the end of the Challenge. We were honored to make donations to The Diaper Bank of CT, The United Way of Greater Waterbury, and the Newington Vet Coffee House. Chambers are the backbone of communities and their local economies.  It is our honor to partner with these hardworking organizations at such a critical juncture. The Chamber Wellness Challenge provides a platform for meaningful engagement with not only our hard working local Not for Profits, but our neighbors and local businesses.”
